When Hartling Group CEO and Shore Club developer Stan Hartling started work on plans for The Shore Club, he made a commitment to build not only a luxury resort community, but also a property that would create a legacy for his company, his clients and island residents.
Hartling’s vision to create a legacy at The Shore Club was intuitive and also based on his experience from building two successful beachfront resorts on world acclaimed Grace Bay Beach – The Sands and The Regent Palms.
In an era when Caribbean resort development was trending to higher density projects on increasingly smaller parcels of land, Hartling observed that discerning clients were seeking an alternative Caribbean beach property ownership experience. In response to that market demand, he elected to create a community of two low-rise condo beachfront condo building and six luxurious Turks and Caicos villas on 2.5 mile Long Bay beach. The concept was new to Turks and Caicos and unique in the Caribbean. High-rises and multi-unit projects were becoming the norm, not intimate beachfront communities. The Shore Club development plan provided a stunning contrast, with just 38 beachfront condos in two low-rise buildings and six, 6,000 square foot beachfront villas.
Crowning nine acres of land and 820 linear feet of beach frontage, the Shore Club’s exclusivity is also more compelling because it is the first and only luxury resort on Long Bay beach. Of note, Long Bay Beach recently earned a spot as one of the top 10 island beaches in the world on the Conde Nast Travelers List.
While the entire project is impressive, the Turks and Caicos villas are simply spectacular. Each villa is located directly on the beach and features a private garden with plunge pool. The two-storey villas offer six bedrooms, of which two can be treated as flex rooms. Large shady terraces complement the classic Barbadian style architecture. Elevators lead to underground areas, which will be connected to service tunnels running underground to the resort. The villas have been designed to celebrate privacy, elegance and timeless Caribbean living.
Hartling envisions these villas as a place where owners will build a legacy for their families and future generations to enjoy together and establish their Turks and Caicos villa as their second home. For the Hartling Group, the Shore Club earns Hartling the distinction of being the first developer on Providenciales to successfully develop three beachfront resorts. And, Hartling hopes the Shore Club will provide employment for island residents for generations to come, an accomplishment of which he is most passionate about achieving.
Construction on the $100 million Shore Club commenced in February 2014. The beachfront condos will be ready for occupancy in late 2015. The Shore Club is now 70% sold out. Visit www.theshoreclubtc.com to learn more.
