Renowned for its eco-friendly oasis of tranquility, Can Xicarró is truly a hidden gem basking under the Catalonia sun, where Moroccan exoticism and vibrancy meets Hispanic flair that combines to create a completely private, peaceful and luxurious experience for the soul.
Beautifully restored to its former glory, this late 19th century villa is a treasure trove of Moroccan design, luxury living and first-class service with all the modern comforts you would expect from a five-star retreat.
The villa is surrounded by 2 hectares of walled garden supporting a rich diversity of flora, designated horticultural areas, ponds, lawns and a wide range of domestic birds. Dominating the surrounding countryside, it provides spectacular views over Vilanova towards the Mediterranean Sea as well as the surrounding hills of the Massif del Garraf.
The bedrooms are all individually decorated in luxurious Moroccan style and color with names such as the Mint Suite, the Cinnamon Suite or the Saffron Suite.
The Master Sultan Suite has spectacular sea views, a king size bed, Bang & Olufson TV Cinema system, its own reception room and a bathroom with Jacuzzi.
Can Xicarró is not only unique in terms of its Moroccan design, complete privacy and relaxation offered but it is also one of the few truly eco-friendly villas, which means you can enjoy your stay in the knowledge that you are helping to keep you carbon footprint down. The villa runs on solar heating, has a water recycling facility along with an abundance of fauna and organic produce in the gardens.
There are 47 distinct types of trees in the 300 or so that can be found in the grounds. These range from standard pine trees to 7 different types of Palms. There are fruit trees, including Figs, Mulberry, Apples, Cherries, Oranges and Pears. There is also an olive grove which provides our olive oil every year.
Additionally we grow organic fruit and vegetables which (in season) can be enjoyed by guests.
Any extra services are provided by local residents, while the foods you will eat are overwhelmingly seasonal and locally produced… all of which contributes to the development of the local economy… excellent news for the eco-conscious luxury traveler!
